Ladies, you made me smile by sharing your special, squishy family moments from last week. Thank you. Hold on to the good feeling and remember to say yes to your children, husband or other family members when at all possible. You never know what precious moments await.
Now this week's luck of the draw (random.org) goes to Jenn of All Natural Mommies. This was Jenn's first week joining Wrapped Emotions, but she is a long time reader of my other blog, Slurping Life. Jenn, email me with the snail mail address and I'll send you a little gift.
I've been thinking...yeah, my husband laughs when I begin a sentence with that phrase...that I will discontinue the weekly drawing for a gift. Honestly, getting people to donate prizes has not been my top priority and for me to remember to purchase gifts each week is taxing my brain. You know, the one more thing I don't need to have to remember...bet you understand that, huh? I believe everyone who participates in our weekly prompts is doing so for the fun, creative endeavor, as well as connecting with self and others...not for whatever little gift I have to give. Don't you?
I do have a great little gift for next week, so check back, but at least until after the holiday season that will be the last drawing for weekly prizes. However, should someone or some company say "hey, take our stuff and give it away" I will so grab the opportunity and share it with my WE friends.
As always, thank you for sharing my journey to rekindle the creative juices and unwrap my emotions. You are inspiring me more than you will ever know, and your posts tell me that you are truly taking much more than works of art from your weekly projects.
Tomorrow, a new prompt. See you then.

Yes, you don't need one more thing to add to your plate. I know I don't do this for a gift, as I'm sure many of the other ladies don't either. We do it to get in touch with ourselves and reconnect with our creativity. Thanks for that Melody...no gift needed!
The real prize is being able to share our thoughts and insights with others and having fun while doing so!
Considering how busy many of us I can well imagine trying to find a prize once a week to be quite the task. You could ask for a monthly prize donation and do one drawing a month, should you want to continue this idea. I would be happy to donate a necklace or bracelet.
Yes, most definately, the "gift" is the gift of learning more about ourselves, and getting to know better the other ladies out there. Thanks for all that you do Melody!
I did do the prompt from last week, but as it was such a busy week I hadn't found the time to post about it. (It was great family time, none the less!) I'll have to be sure to check back tomorrow to find out what the next is.
Congrats to Jenn on winning the gift.
And speaking of the gift, since I'm new here I can admit - I didn't even KNOW there were gifts given (I guess I hadn't paid well enough attention to that portion as I was always so interested in reading the prompts and seeing all of the creative responses). Because of that, I certainly wouldn't miss gift drawings, although I do think that's a great idea in addition to the prompts each week. I agree that WE seems to be mostly about fun, creative endeavors and connectivity! Should you start up the contest again at the beginning of the new year, I would be glad to contribute a gift.
Looking forward to tomorrow's prompt...
Oh Melody - I am so honored! Also in terms of the gift, I also think that this is way more than a "free gift" - this is about being creative, and remembering who we really are!
I think it's always nice to get something in the mail that's not a bill, but I agree it's not needed - I got soo much more from this than that!
But, I got an idea, email me - and we'll talk - I got some awesome yummy stuff that I think might work awesomely and I could send it from hear! :)
Jenn
aww...i'm in it for the prize.
just kidding!:-)
seriously, this is so much fun, no prize needed. i love seeing what everyone creates each week...prize enough for me!
You give prizes!! lol I really had no idea and that is not why I joined! :) I really enjoy the smile it puts on my face to see the different things everyone did each week! I totally agree one less thing to think about especially during the crazy holiday season! No prizes needed IMO!
